I’ve been taking our family’s cars to Jose at Kelly Clark for years. Jose goes out of his way to get me in and out of the shop quickly. He always communicates what is wrong in layman’s terms and is a great person all around! Integrity and excellent service from everyone at Kelly Clark!

Was recommended this place by my boyfriend’s brother who recently used this shop. Walked in and was immediately greeted with a creepy “hello there young lady.” Asked them if they could read the code for the light that just came on in my car and then maybe take a look/provide an estimate but it was already pretty clear to me what was needing to be done based on my history with the car. I was immediately quoted $200 just to look at my car which they stated was standard for everyone. I asked why since that seemed unusual and they told me it was to look at all systems of my car - except I didn’t ask for a full evaluation just for them to plug in to their computer and read the code but whatever. I did get the vibe that they were trying to take advantage of me so I left. Fast forward I am eating dinner with my boyfriend and I see the receipt for the work his brother had done sitting on the table. I take a peek and to no surprise he didn’t have to pay that $200 evaluation. It even did list the full evaluation and very clearly indicated he paid $0 for it. It’s worth noting we were coming in for a similar caliber/price point of work being done so I don’t feel they waived it because he spent enough. Disappointing experience and wanted to share so other women can be wary of this shop.

Wanted $115 for diagnostic fee paid before they even look at your car. Unlike other mechanics, diagnostic fee not included in any future repairs. Find a trusted smaller instead

It was actually the input and output sensor and a conductor plate There was no metal in the transmission fluid. I took the car to a transmission place the same one that built it. Also you guy did,nt mention that the filter fell off.The actual place i took the car too was a place that specializes on transmissions and they said that you guys were dead wrong. So i disagree with you. You guys said the whining noise was the transmission. But the actual noise was air going thru the hole where the filter fell off .Nothing wrong with the transmission. Also I doubt it would cost me 1600$ for a bandaid. Seriously? If my car is still running a year from now you guys still got me for 200$.

I am blown away that this shop has such a high rating on google, I can’t be the only customer that almost got completely taken advantage of. Just a personal experience but was told that a vehicle needed a new engine ($12k+) due to an overheating issue. This was after, just the day prior being called and told it only needed a new thermostat ($450). At this point I had a serious “trust issue” and decided to pick up the vehicle and get a second opinion. Brought the vehicle to another shop and after extensive testing, it was determined that the issue was in fact a faulty thermostat and cost $425 +/- to repair. Bottom line, even though this business has a high rating, beware and question any recommendation that seems unreasonable.
