I have entrusted this shop with all of my BMWs over the years, including a 328d wagon, X3M, and my current E36 M3. David and Andrew consistently provide exceptional service, taking the time to answer questions thoroughly and ensuring all work is performed to the highest standard. I highly recommend this shop to any BMW owner seeking knowledgeable, reliable, and professional service.

After 20 plus years of being a customer I must say they have been very good to me. Please understand they don’t repair my 325i or my X3 for free but their price s are very competitive. Over the years some repairs did not work out and I had to return my vehicle to Bavarian. They never hesitated to make it right. That includes going through 3 compressors for my A/C because of the year of my E30. I don’t mind a mistake or having a part malfunction if the shop will make it right and Bavarian has always done just that. I have recommended many friends to Bavarian Motors and they have never had a problem. The Owner, Andrew, is extremely knowledgeable and continues to keep up with the ever changing trends in cars by attending workshops every year. David is very good at explaining what happened and will even show me the part that was replaced. Bavarian may not be a perfect shop but your BMW will get repaired and it will be repaired well.

I brought my BMW to Bavarian Motors for a relatively simple issue: a faulty window regulator and a request to inspect the door handle. They quoted me $300 to address the door handle. Reasonable enough — or so I thought. When I returned to pick up the car, I was blindsided with a $900 bill for the door handle repair. Their excuse? It was “hard to fix” and “the owner Andrew had to get involved.” Not once was I called, consulted, or asked to approve these additional charges. The basic rule of any reputable shop — get authorization before tripling the price — was completely ignored. When I questioned the charge, I was given a long, condescending lecture about the complexity of BMWs. I decided to pay the bill just to get my car back and be done with the situation. But the worst was yet to come. The door handle is now completely broken — I can’t even open the door from the inside. I had a certified BMW master technician inspect the car, who confirmed the handle was damaged due to poor installation. In other words, Bavarian Motors not only overcharged me without permission, they also botched the job. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. I expected competent work and professional communication. What I got was unauthorized charges, subpar workmanship, and a broken vehicle. Avoid Bavarian Motors at all costs. There are plenty of reputable shops out there — this isn’t one of them.

My recent experience did not met my expectations, I found David unwilling to work on my car. I took it to him because of the reputation of the shop, and because of a positive past experience. This time he seemed task saturated to the point where he did not want to take on my car.

If I could rate them higher I would! I wouldn’t take my BMW anywhere else. I’ve been going here 2.5 years now, and they’re honest, fair, ethical, efficient. Over the years, they’ve kept meticulous notes on my car, and will keep me updated on the “concerns” list. For instance, two years ago they said I’d need to replace my valve cover at some point. Last year they said, “I checked the valve cover—I think we can get another 10,000 miles out of it before we replace.” Last month, my car broke down 30 minutes away and they said they were booked out, so I had it towed to the dealership. The dealership quoted me prices more than DOUBLE of Bavarian. Needless to say, I had it towed again to Bavarian, who was able to finish it sooner than expected. The first time I came here was an emergency mystery issue—before fully diving in they warned me it could be a $3,000+ fix, but after going through, they discovered it was merely a small gasket the oil change people hadn’t put back on (~$100). I wouldn’t have known one way or another if it was the big repair, but they kept looking, and made sure they found the correct problem. When you find a mechanic shop you trust, you stick with em! Bavarian is never trying to *sell* me on repairs I don’t need, they’re highly communicative, their prices are very fair, and they’re just honest. I usually talk to David, who has always been great. I really honestly can’t say enough about Bavarian Motors.
